Develop Financial Freedom
There are a wide array of books, seminars, and gurus suggesting the right way to achieve financial freedom. To be sure there is more that one way to free yourself and your family from debt. Most will cost you money, the very thing you’re trying to save.
I have some free advice. Yes, free! They are habits I am using to gain my goals of financial freedom. The key word is “habit.” It requires some time, effort, and determination to discipline yourself, but inch-by-inch you can free yourself from the slavery of debt.
1. Earn An Honest Living
"Those unwilling to work will not get to eat." 11 Yet we hear that some of you are living idle lives, refusing to work and meddling in other people's business. 12 We command such people and urge them in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and work to earn their own living. 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 NLT
2. Plan Your Spending
Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty. Proverbs 21:5 NLT
3. Return Ten Percent Back To God
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do," says the Lord of Heaven's Armies, "I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won't have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test! * Malachi 3:10-11NLT
*(This is a habit to develop your giving. The more you grow in Christ you will discover His ultimate teaching on giving is not limited to percentage but a more complete understanding called sacrificial giving. Also, the NT speaks more about giving than Heaven)
4. Save For The Future
Wealth from get-rich-quick schemes quickly disappears; wealth from hard work grows over time. Proverbs 13:11 NLT
5. Enjoy What You Have
Enjoy what you have rather than desiring what you don't have. Just dreaming about nice things is meaningless—like chasing the wind. Ecclesiastes 6:9 NLT
These habits put into practice have the ability to change the way we experience life. They also will change the way we experience church.
